We originally planned to go bowling, but after going to all 2 of the bowling allies in town and finding out it was league night we weren't sure what we were going to do. We've made it a goal to have family home evening every week this year, and so far so good! Noah loves it and reminds us every Sunday not to forget about it tomorrow, Cutler - not so much. But we still do it. Repetition, repetition! Anyway, since we couldn't go bowling I told Colby to drive over to the Rosenbruch Museum. We did and the boys loved it, even Colby! At the end I tried to get their picture by the bear in the kid's room, but Cutler was scared. We stopped in the gift shop and bought them each something. Cutler - bouncy ball(wahoo), Noah - toy animals.

F.H.E.
What Cutler has been UP to...
This is his newest favorite thing to do. As quietly as possible, he climbs up the bar stool and onto the counter. This is his cupboard with all his sippies, old bottles, and yes the binki's. And he knows it. So usually when I find him, he's just playing with the bottle nipples, and sippy stoppers, with binki in mouth...aaaggh! I'm seriously worried to death for the day I hear him fall off.

President Gordon B. Hinckley
January 27, 2008
As I'm sure all of you know, our sweet prophet returned to the Lord and his sweet Marjorie, tonight. I am so grateful that I was able to be here on this earth during his administration. He has accomplished so much during his time as prophet, and the world has benefitted tremendously from him. As I watched all of the broadcasts tonight I had tears in my eyes because of all of the wonderful things he had done, and for all of the lives he has touched, including mine.
I read an email once that said something about At judgement day, after passing through the veil and greeting others, being asked which prophet's time we were from and when answered Gordon B. Hinckley there came a silence over all the people, because he was such a special man. That we had been saved for this time because we were so valiant and faithful before coming to earth. I am so grateful that that will be me, that will be us! I love him so much and will miss listening to his great counsel and cute humor at each conference.

Pheasant Hunt

A great day hunting. We went up to a hunting ranch in enterprise. Noah especially loved it when we shot the chuckar that he is holding he held that the entire time that we were hunting. We ended up with 15 birds. He wanted it to be his pet bird when we got back and didn't want it to be cut up. All that came on our expedition were: My dad, brother Brett, his kids kaleb and rigby, Dave and Kent.

I've crossed over...
To the dark side! I've actually been talking about doing this for a while now and I finally did it. I think Colby was more nervous than I was. Don't mind the fantastic photography skills, they are my 5 year olds!! Yes, Noah took the picture because well, I can't take one of myself, and Colby took some but they didn't turn out either. Anyway...I actually got this done last week but I had to give it some time to fade a bit and for some of the red to die down too! At first it was sort of dark for me, like I wasn't sure I would keep it for even a week. ( I sort of felt like Snow White = dark hair + pastey white skin!) Each day it fades a bit more and I actually don't mind it. What do ya think?

Swimming Babies!
So the other night during my blog stalking I saw this and I think it's amazing. Scary. But amazing.
http://www.childdrowningprevention.com/index.html
The whole time I watched this I was trying to calmly breath for the little boy and I caught myself holding very still, like I was going to go under the water if I moved. I had Cutler watch it with me and he just stared and didn't move. I wish they did this here, but the closest one is in Vegas. I think it would be a good idea to get Cutler to learn how to do this. Especially since my parents put a pool in last year, and he's always on the go. This year I'm really going to have to watch him close. He loves the water!!

SleepOver!
We are braving our first sleep over ever tonight! For Christmas, Shan & my dad gave Jennifer & my mom tickets to 'Wicked' in L.A. They left this morning and will be coming home tomorrow evening and we get to have the boys over. Makayla offered to take Blake, and I get Carson & Michael. So far the day has actually gone really well. Noah is the only one who has gotten out of hand for the most part. I've been very surprised at how easy they have all been. I don't know why, they all play pretty good together and Cutler just wants to tag right along with them. Thankfully Makayla was here to entertain me for the day while they all played. And I even got Cutler, Noah, and Michael to all have a nap at the same time! (I'm kind of feeling like I could do this multiple boy thing. Of course I don't want to jinx myself, I would love a girl someday.) Now that it is night, and time to settle down, we did a puzzle (thanks Jennifer) and now the boys are (sort of) watching the movie she brought too - Superman! They are so funny, each of the boys are a character in the movie, and they are acting it out right along with it! Boys!!

Now just wish us luck for bedtime!

Pooped!
Luckily for you all, I don't have a picture for this one. While the boys and I were doing the puzzle, Colby had Cutler in the bath. All of a sudden I hear this- "Oh my heck! Cutler just pooped in the bath tub!" I sat there for a minute because I really didn't want to have to clean it up. But of course, mom to the rescue! While Colby watched, I got Cutler out, wrapped him in the towel, and carefully - very carefully got out each toy and put into a plastic bag to be thrown away. Then I took one of the toys that's like a scoop and used it to put the poop in the toilet, then drained the water. GROSS!! In all the hundreds of baths I've given, I have never had to clean poop out of the tub, and it's even my own child! I went into turbo mode and got the Pine-Sol and Clorox cleaners and went to work. Cutler hadn't been cleaned yet, so at least that didn't have to be done again, so I refilled the tub and let Colby finish.
Ouch!!

Back to our old tricks
I am way overdue for a new post, so here I go.
I was hoping that since it was a New Year, we would maybe have some changes in our home. Like maybe no more messes, WRONG!! As I was getting ready this morning, Cutler was very busy. His newest thing is emptying out all, every single one of the movies in the cupboard. I didn't think about taking a picture of it until after I had cleaned them up and found the next mess. What do I do?!! Quit laughing, it's not funny!!

Where is it?
I have to admit it... Cutler still has a binky. But only at nap time and bed time. The rule is he has to put it in his bed when I get him out. And he does NOT like it. So what usually happens is I'll tell him to put it in his bed and he'll chuck it in there. Like, "I'll do it but I'm not happy about it!" If he could talk, that's what he would say. And when he throws it, it usually goes behind the bed. On a couple of occasions he has watched me climb under the bed to retrieve the stupid thing. He is going through a phase of 'needing' it more often right now, and will stand at the side of his crib reaching for it. If he can't reach the one inside, he'll do this, and try to find one!

Fishing!
A few days after Christmas Colby decided to take the boys up to the pond fishing. Cutler got a new pole and he wanted to try it out. He wanted to take them by himself, but I knew that was a disaster waiting to happen, so I tagged along. Plus I needed pictures of Cutler's first time fishing! We posed Cutler a few times just for the picture, but he was way more interested in the birds flying around and wanted to chase them. He only tried to get in the pond about 3 times! Good thing I went. And the best part - THEY CAUGHT ONE!!
