Last day of school

Have I ever said how much I love our neighborhood?
Just kidding…I know I have…only like 50 times!!
This year, on the last day of school, Katie put together a breakfast for all the kids. Each mom brought something to contribute, if we wanted, and the kids loved it!

I'm going to miss these kids SO much!!
I can't even express how much I have grown to love each one of them!

Preschool Graduation - Round 1

I can't believe this girl is already done with her first year of preschool!
She got to go to Mrs. Kathy this year, and she loved it! I'm pretty sure it helped that her two besties Breckyn & Sydnee were in her class!!

They did the same program that she does every year, so we had seen it before, twice, but that's ok. This time was Lexie's turn ;)

This was Mrs. Kathy's last year for a few years. She and her husband are going on a mission.

Poor girl

This poor girl has had it rough! Remember she slammed her finger in the front door? Well, today, she got stung by a bee on that same finger!
Because Colby does such an amazing job on our front yard, (yes, I'm totally bragging) we have a lot of bees. And for some reason, her little friends and her think you can catch bees in their hands and then let them go. I guess they've done it a few times, but today it stung her.
I don't love hearing a piercing scream from my little girl through the house!
Once she calmed down enough for me to finally get out of her what had happened, she basically cried herself to sleep. It's exhausting getting hurt :(

Mother's Day

There's nothing in this world I love more than being a mom!!
NOTHING!!

These are my awesome gifts my family gave me.
Noah stitched the "I love you mom" by himself!! - yes, I cried
Cutler made the place mat at school
And one of our cute little neighbor girls helped Lexie make a card for me!
These kids fill my heart!!!

Kindergarten Graduation

May 8

This was such a bitter sweet day for me. I have to admit, each milestone that Cutler reaches is bitter sweet for me :) I've experienced all the same things with Noah, pretty much, and I've struggled then too, but it's a little different with this boy. He is my challenge, and at the same time, he melts my heart!
Cutler had the best Kindergarten teacher we could have ever asked for. Mrs. Snow is the sweetest, loving, kind teacher, but doesn't put up with your crap either. Cutler needed someone who would keep him on task, yet love him just the same, and he got just that!
I was able to help a lot in his class and I loved going each week, and seeing what they were doing, along with hear her with the kids, and mostly watching and listening to Cutler. He learned so much this year, and excelled above and beyond, and I think a lot of it had to do with his her!

They put on a little program with the other afternoon kindergarten class of songs, and things they have learned throughout the year.

It was so much fun watching them, and listening to their silly songs.
Oh the days of Kindergarten…
Sad you're gone, but glad you're over!

Teacher appreciation

Each year is different for teacher appreciation. Every year it really depends on the room mom. This year, I've been a part of every class activity for Cutler's class, and I've loved it! Noah's class on the other hand hasn't had as much celebrating.  I personally think we should be able to choose what we give, and or if we give something. I always will, but I don't like being told what to do!

So…Noah's class didn't give out assignments. We got to choose what we wanted to give Mr. Griffiths.
We went the easy, and most favorite route…Jimmy John's!
Every teacher LOVES it, so it works :)
+ a note from Noah

Cutler's class is a lot more organized, and it probably is better for Kindergarten. Because of the kids who were in the class, and the level of non-participation in certain events, some of us got to participate more ;) This week, the room mom gave each kid a letter of the alphabet (or in our case 2) and we had to give her something that started with that letter.
We got K + Z.
Z!!
For 'K' we got Mrs. Snow a gift card to Krave.

For 'Z' we had to get a little more creative. We wanted to get her a plant with the saying
"Thanks for helping me grow this year!"
So, we found a Zonal Geranium.
It worked!

Both of my boys loved their teachers this year, and as the mom, I loved them too.
Our school has some of the best teachers in the whole city!
I am incredibly grateful for all the time they put into teaching my kids,
and helping me raise them!

Defile

May 4
Westside Studio Dance Recital
Getting ready for this day was so much fun!!
I'm quite positive I had way more butterflies than Lexie did, but that's ok ;)
She was the best little ballerina up on that stage!!
I honestly couldn't believe she still did her dance once she saw how many people were there.
I was so proud of her!!

When they were all done, their dads came up on the stage with flowers and brought them down. I couldn't catch Colby to get a picture of him giving her his flowers, so hopefully Noah got it on the video camera. I'm not holding my breath though ;)
Since she was the very first dance, we didn't really want to sit through the whole recital, so we ditched out, took some pictures, and went to dinner!

She was being a stink after some of the pictures, and wouldn't take one with just me at the school. I finally had to be kind of mean and tell her she couldn't go in for dinner until she let me have a picture with her.

Such a girl!!
And I wouldn't have her any other way!
