I'm alive

It's true, I really am alive. I have pretty much just layed around for a week now and can I just say I feel like I have 3 months worth of blogging, laundry, work, and cleaning to do? Colby has been the most awesome husband, actually trying to take care of everything so I didn't worry about it. We have had some great neighbors and lots of family help take care of the boys, and bring meals and we appreciate it so much!!

Last Saturday Colby and the boys ventured into town to the splash pad at town square and this is the boys' new love! They ask him almost everyday if they can go again. Well, Noah asks anyway. So I guess I'm really going to have to give it a try.

Last night we went up to Kolob so Colby and Kent could fish. I was a little worried about going because I had already done a lot that day, and I didn't want to be stuck chasing Cutler around while Colby was out in the middle of the lake. But Cutler did well. I had seen some crawdads in the water so Noah was all about finding those. And all Cutler wanted to do was his very most favorite thing ever...throw rocks! All I really had to do was make sure he didn't go in. We drove the 4-wheeler for a minute, but it got a little cold, and the bugs - oh the bugs! There were just way too many. We got home after 11:00 last night and the boys were absolutely tuckered out!

Now I am just trying to get back into the regular swing of things. Has anyone else ever had their appendix out? Like appendix surgery. Not got them out with another surgery. I totally thought this would be a simple recovery, and I feel like I have a pretty high pain tolerance but this is hard. I've had my gall bladder out, and although the pain from gall stones was 10 times worse than appendix, the surgery recovery is a lot worse.

I better get off the computer and try to get some things done before the boys wake up. I have a ton to get done today. Thanks to everyone who has helped us out, and for all the comments!

Tiffany's Appendix Surgery

Well, I'm not the seasoned blogger but I thought that I would leave a little post to let everyone know what is going on. 2 nights ago Tiffany was having tremendous pain in bed all night then started to throw up all morning. She went to the ER and the said that it was her appendix but said that there was a possiblity they could be wrong. So she chose to come home and wait it out for a while to see if it got worse and it did. So we were back in the hospital at 10 pm tuesday night and then they admitted her and she had the surgery wednesday morning. They said for me to call in the morning at 5:30 to see when the surgery would be scheduled. So I did and they said 7:30 so I had it lined up so I would be over there and of course they took her in at 6:45 so I just had to wait and worry. Along with Tiff's parents waiting there also. Finally the surgeon came out and said it went fine and it was the appendix. She should be home on Thursday sometime. I'm sure it will be hard when she gets home because Cutler needs her so much (So he thinks) I took him to the hospital tonight to see her. Woah big problem he wanted to climb all over her. Tiff we are excited to have you home.

Your BOYS

How does your garden grow?

This post is actually a little brag session about my wonderful husband! (no, it's not gushy) He loves to garden. Whether it's an actual garden, or just growing plants and a nice lawn. I think he's secretly in competition with all the neighbors.

Today Kent came by and was asking about our peach tree, so we picked some and oh, they were yummy! Colb just planted it this year, and it has done so well. Here are a few pictures of some of the yummy, and beautiful things we have growing in our yard!

Our little peach tree
The flower hill in the front yard
Super yummy tomatoes!! (my favorite)
He decided to try potatoes this year and they're doing great!
And our zucchini. If you look close you can see a little one starting.
We also have some cucumbers, peppers, onions, and pumpkins in the works. I'm especially excited to see if the pumpkins really grow. So far they look like they'll do great, just like everything else!

Summer is here

About a week or so ago I went and bought this cheap-o sprinkler for the boys to play in outside. You know, so I don't have to get in the pool everyday. It's so hot already, for me anyway, and a good way to release energy. We called Stefanie and had her bring the boys over to play in it and this is what we got...

Noah & Smith were so funny because they wanted it on low enough so the water just sprayed straight, not all over like it's suppose to.

And Cutler has gotten into this horrible sleep habit lately where, well, he doesn't want to sleep. At night when I put him in bed it usually takes another 2-3 hours before he'll actually go to sleep. Making it about 11:00 or 12:00!! I'd had it, so this particular day I didn't let him have a nap. And this is actually the thing that prompted me to buy something to help release the energy. It didn't help because Cutler wouldn't even go near it. Jones didn't like it either, so I guess it's just a big boy thing.

A bunch of stuff

I have to be honest here, I'm sort of dreading this post. Or any post for that matter. I don't know what it is right now, but I seriously think everyone is suffering from it. The posts are lacking, the comments are lacking...are we just so over blogging?! I actually love it, and I love getting into everyone else's business, but I'm just not that into it right now. That would be the reason my posts are all about birthdays, and simply nothing else. I'm really hoping that I can get back into this, and that it's only a phase for me...hoping!

That being said, here is what has been going on with us the past couple of...dare I say... months. And, in no particular order!

I know I already posted pictures of Noah playing t-ball, but this was his 'professional' picture and I wanted to share. The season is now over and we had a blast going each week. Doesn't Noah look like the man?!

Colby got another Turkey tag this year, and obviously got one! I think this is absolutely disgusting, I don't know why, I love to hunt, but the actual dead animal just turns me off. Anyway, he had a blast going out the few times, and got himself a good one. I think he said the beard is 9" long - Good job!

We have a graduate!

From Pre-school anyway. Noah has absolutely loved school this year, and he has learned a ton. They had this little graduation ceremony last Friday for all the parents and it was so fun to go and listen to them sing songs that they had learned and all the letters and their sounds. Preschool sounds so young, but I feel like Noah is getting so big and grown up. That sounds funny, but he truly has gotten so smart, and sometimes I feel like he's a miniature adult with some of the things that come out of his mouth! I was so proud at the graduation, and I have to say that I was thankful for my cold that day because nobody noticed my teary eyes!

These are some of my favorites from Cutler's 18 month pictures. Yes, I realize he is now almost 22 months but hey, they're on here now. He's getting so big, and even busier by the day! I honestly don't know how I'll ever keep up with this kid.

Let's see, I now also have pink eye with my ear infection/stuffy head/whatever else is going on.

Colby is in Canada fishing. I am a single parent for the time being. Not fun!

Noah started his summer classes I signed him up for through the rec center. I haven't gotten any pictures yet, hopefully I'll get some soon. This week he is doing the earthy outdoors class. So far they have shot air guns, bow and arrow, made a house out of popsicle sticks, and he said he thinks tomorrow he gets to learn how to set up a tent. What boy wouldn't love this class?

Colby's brother-in-law Rob is home. You know, the one who went to Iraq. Sunday we went up to Cedar and had a bbq with the fam. It was so good to see him, and yes, so far he is home for good. Of course I didn't get any pictures. I took my camera, just didn't use it - smart!

Also over the weekend I went to Salt Lake for a baby shower for Melanie, and a bridal shower for Sarah. It was fun to see everyone, and of course we love a party. I seriously felt worse on friday and saturday than I think I have this whole time being sick. Hopefully nobody catches anything from me. I slept on the couch so that I wouldn't keep anyone awake all night from my coughing, and wouldn't ya know it, I hardly coughed that night. That's ok, the couch was super comfy! So congrats to Sarah and to Melanie.

Memorial Day Colby had to work, so I took the boys and went to Minersville with my mom. It was actually a horrible day up there, weather-wise Super cold and windy, so the kids couldn't really play outside. My grandma's house is maaaaybe 1000 sq. ft. and a bunch of the family was there. It was still fun, I love visiting my grandparents. Noah did a number while there though. He had found a can of spray paint and painted 3 of her solar lights and the entire face of one of her gnomes out in the yard. I was so not happy with him. He had earned some money a few days before so now he has to use that money to replace the gnome. Kids!

So there ya have it! I really have been doing things, just not really into telling about them. I'm really going to try and be a better blogger, so we'll see what happens.
