Labrum Halloween Party

This year it was so nice up in Pine Valley. Usually, it's freezing cold while we're Colby's out carving pumpkins. But we actually played a few games outside, and it was enjoyable.
Janet asked each of us to bring a couple of games.
I figured if everyone was bringing more than one, then I didn't need to :)
I went the super easy route and borrowed my neighbors Halloween Bingo.
My food assignment: glazed doughnuts. That was easy!

Pumpkin seed spitting
I had to do both pictures because one is better of Noah,
and the other is better of Colby.

More bean bag toss

And the very most favorite game of all...
Donut on a string!!

And the winner is...

I think Colby & I were the only ones who didn't dress up.
Oh and Kristen.
Oops.

After the games we went inside for some yummy chili, salads, rolls, pizza, and hot cider.
Topped off with some pumpkin roll.
YUM!

Happy Birthday...

Reese!!

Street party

Last year we started doing a street halloween party.
The kids loved it. And I must admit, it was pretty fun.
This year, I may or may not have been very excited about it.
But we went, and it was fun.
Imagine that.
I took so many pictures, and I want most of them on here
so I collaged.
We did the same games, pretty much.
Stick the mouth on the pumpkin; Bingo; cookie on a string; cupcake walk;
bean bag toss; hammer the nail; and wiggle car races.
After the games we ate pizza & breadsticks.
With rootbeer, of course.
And brownies.

Since the boys are big...
they run from house to house without me.
They don't need my help. Or Colby's.
Which is sad.
But what I really don't like about that, is I can't get very many pictures of them.
Maybe next year!

Jimmy John's party

Last year Colby decided to have a little Pumpkin Carving contest with his employees. We turned it into a little party and it was so much fun. So this year we kept the tradition and had such a great turnout.
We went to Harmon's and bought 18 pumpkins. 3 carts full.
People were looking at us like we were crazy.
We dropped them off at Jimmy John's and immediately the employees were snatching up the best ones.
It was funny

The night of the party, as each person came, I assigned their pumpkin a number.
Once everyone was there, they each voted for their favorite one in each category:
Scariest, silliest, best design, best overall, most original, and best detail.
There was some great competition!

These were the winners

The whole gang...and their pumpkins

We ended with some yummy treats and homemade rootbeer.
Can you tell which part my boys like best?

We all had so much fun, and can't wait to do it again next year!!

Last camping trip

Oct. 7 - 8
Our friends up the street invited us to go camping with them just up to Gray's Ranch. Our kids always play together at home, so it was nice that they pretty much entertained themselves camping too. They went Thursday after work, but we couldn't go until Friday. As soon as we got there, the kids were off and running.
Malie took Lexie on the 4-wheeler and she was hooked after that.
If anyone offered, she was on it.
The dads took the little boys on the razor to look for deer. So we broke out the cookies and marshmallows.
You just can't camp without s'mores!!

And to get the kids to settle down so we could go to bed...
and while the adults had adult time around the fire...
we put a movie on.

Saturday was filled with shooting guns, 4-wheeler riding, shooting the bow and arrow, and more shooting.
Boys!

We were all so excited and proud when Cutler shot the can!!

These two sat in the trailer forever and just colored. It's Lexie's favorite thing to do right now, along with stickers.

Staheli Farm

Oct. 12th
For yw/ym a couple weeks ago we went out to the Staheli Farm.
I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and take my family too.
We really just went out to do the corn maze, which I hadn't ever done, neither had my kids.
But for the price, you see it all.
So we did.

I love the tire horse swing. Like, I want one of my own.
I'm pretty sure my kids feel the same way!

Lexie was so funny. She was moving her legs like she was running. It was so cute!

Another swing, tetherball, and digging in the dirt.
What more could you ask for?

I love the fall and all the fun things there are to do!!
