Pine Valley

Colby's parents have a home in Pine Valley that we love to escape to! Especially in the summer when it's 110* here. They are building a new home up there to hopefully live there most of the time. We drove up after church to see how the house is coming and to visit.
They are so great with the kids. They are always willing to play right along with them.

Doug has birdhouses that he has made all over the property. This one had some baby birds in it.

Sneekin' a little bit of our favorite drink!!

I would say that when the new house is finished, my boys will love playing in all the rocks around the property looking for rock chucks. But Lexie will love it just as much!!

We love visiting them up there because it's so relaxing. My kids are in heaven when they are outside. Especially where they can pretty much do whatever they want, and not get in trouble for it! :)

Happy Birthday...

Gramma Sherie!!

Summer haircuts

Every year it has to be done.
I love it because I don't have to fight the boys to get their hair done.
They love it because they don't have to get their hair done.
Simple as that!
And every year they start asking when they can get their hair buzzed about the last week of school.
The rule is...the day after school gets out they can have it buzzed.
Cutler got his done first thing the morning after his last day.
Noah had to wait a couple of days.

The rest are just because they were being silly!!

Ok, I guess Cutler was being silly! And I love it!!

Last hoorah!

We had to get together one more time before Shan & Jennifer left. So their very last night here, we barbecued at my parents. Of course the kids swam, and we sat around and visited. It was a long night. I think we finally left at around 11:15. Half of the kids had fallen asleep, and the other half didn't want to say goodbye. I got my emotions from my mom, so I had to duck my head, hug and run before I started crying. I knew it would happen, I just didn't want to have a cry-fest with everyone. I did it by myself, in the car.

Apparently these are the only pictures I took. I thought I took more. At least I had good intentions.

These two were completely entertained watching the hamster.

Last day of preschool...

EVER!!!
Cutler has finally officially graduated from Preschool!
He absolutely loved Ms. Kathy, and honestly, I don't think there could have been a better teacher for him.
She got him!
He would tease her, and she would dish it right back!

We didn't have the best seat for pictures, although I thought I did! Cutler's class is the whole front row.

Just happy he was participating!

I...Love...You!

He learned so much this year, at about the halfway point, he was bored.
He will be the oldest in Kindergarten, but he wasn't ready last year.

Checking out his book she makes for them.

I love that she does this. She measures them on the first day of school, and the last.

These are our cute carpool friends, Eli & Tanner

Solar Eclipse

May 20
So apparently these things only happen once in like...forever! I knew it would be a cool thing to see, but wasn't really worried about it. While we were at Sherie's for dinner, she mentioned it and found out that the first 250 people at the City Water building would get free glasses. So off she went with my 3 kids! I met them up there when she called to say they were in line and would definitely get some glasses, but they were dying of heat. About 45 minutes later we were home checking out the Solar Eclipse already starting to happen.

We walked in the house at one point and saw that the light was coming through the shutters up on the wall and you could see it there! And also learned, that by creating a small hole for the light to go through, you could project it onto anything!

This was obviously when it was full, and the light was coming through all the leaves on the tree onto the house.
Pretty cool!

2 parties in ONE!

We sort of killed 2 birds with 1 stone.
Shan and his family have moved to Kansas :(
Addi's birthday was in the middle of May!
So when Makayla's family came down to say goodbye to Shan's family, we had a birthday party mostly. But it was intended to be a birthday/goodbye party. I'm just glad it stayed on the happy side!
Pretty much...the kids swam the whole time!

Except for when it was time to sing and eat cake!! [thank you pinterest!!]

It's so sad to think this will be the last time everyone will be together for quite a while! O.K. maybe only until Thanksgiving ;) but we're spoiled and have lived by each other our whole lives.

Blue Jays T-Ball

Cutler finally got to play t-ball this year!! Can you guess how excited he was??
Just a little!

He was on the Blue Jays.
He had quite the little team.

His coach was great. She actually held practice, and she taught them.

There's not much to say about t-ball.
The whole team hits, and they don't get out.
They play two innings, and it's over.
It was perfect for Cutler this year.
He played catcher the first game, and then pretty much played at pitcher and short stop.

He slid into home every time!
Except once the coach was in his way. Since he missed that time, I told him to slide into every base.
He was so mad about not being able to slide, so that made him a little happier :)

We had so much fun watching Cutler.
He absolutely loved t-ball.
I hope he continues to love it, cause I love watching it!!
