Labrum Halloween Party

Last night we went up to Pine Valley for our annual Labrum Halloween party. It was definitely different this year with only Brett's family and us. But it was still fun!

We all dressed up, and yes, I am in Noah's football uniform!!

Apparently these are the only pictures I took :(
We ate dinner, chili & hot dogs; then played a bunch of games: candy jar guess, halloween bingo, and an impromptu bubble blowing contest. Rigby, Noah and I competed in the end. Not sure who really won :)
It was a school night so we had to head home earlier than we wanted, but as usual, we had a blast! My kids look forward to it every year, and I have to admit, Colby & I do too!!

Jimmy John's Halloween Party

October 28

One of our favorite parties during Halloween time is the JJ party.
Colby gets a pumpkin for all the employees, then we vote on our favorites.

OH, and there's a few treats too ;)

Colby's pumpkin

These were the winning pumpkins. I forgot which category they won for though :(

Shala always has the best costumes. And she makes them herself!!
My kids weren't quite sure what to think when she walked up :)

Blue Cobras

Cutler was invited to play on his best friends fall soccer team. He was super excited to finally get to be on a team with his best friend! We actually ended up having a couple of friends on the team, which makes it way more fun!

Soccer is a good sport for my boys because they have so much energy. I thought it would be perfect for him, and this time was one time that he actually didn't complain about practice or having to wake up early on Saturday morning for the game.

They had an awesome season, and an even more awesome team.

This little lady was the best sideline fan! Just happy to be there ;)

Happy Birthday Noah!!

Noah turned 10 this year!!
10 people!
I honestly can't believe it. (I know I say that every year) But it's true!!

To celebrate on his actual birthday, we surprised him and took him out of school to go to lunch with the fam!
Pasta Factory
He loved it!!

Since he had practice the night of his birthday, we celebrated on Sunday,
[It's a busy time of year]
with some of our family.

He requested pumpkin, and banana cream pie.
[he doesn't love cake ;)]

(umm...don't mind the disaster in the background! Hurricane Sandy struck my kitchen!!)

This boy didn't ask for one thing. He's figured out that if you ask for something, you usually get it. And he didn't want to know what he was getting.
Thanks for making it so hard for us, buddy ;)

I have to admit, I think we all did pretty good.
He was a very happy, surprised boy by the end of the night.

(I can't get my picasa to slurp my pictures over so sorry for the overload)

I love this!!

He was a VERY happy boy!!
Happy birthday Noah!!

Johnson Farm

We had one chance to go this year, and once it again, it didn't disappoint! The kids still ask every time we drive by, when do we get to go back. We had a few tickets left over, and they knew it.

We didn't get to go on the train, or pick a pumpkin, and Lexie reminds me almost daily.
We'll be back next year!!

Moms vs. boys

Noah has got a great football team. Great coaches, great kids, great fun!
One of the things they did this year was have the boys play against us moms.
I was super hesitant to play. I wanted to play, but was nervous, and a little intimidated by the other moms. Ok, a lot intimidated by the other moms!
I went to one practice, and the next night was the game.
Now remember, these boys had been practicing for 3 months, and had played in 5 or 6 games by this time.
But...it was a blast!!

And, we almost won.

Here we are learning the rules

Seriously...SO...MUCH...FUN!!
And SO sore the next day, and for a whole week after :)
