Dicken's Festival

November 30 - December 3
Another year of going every.single.night.
We're so glad it's over.
This year Cutler played a 'sneeky orphan' in Oliver.
He was only actually in the play for about 5 minutes, but he did such a good job.
The first night was a little nerve racking - for me!
As the mom, you want your child to do the very best, no mistakes, no missed cues.
I think Cutler got a lit-tle nervous when he first went out on stage and saw all the people watching him.
There were a few times he wasn't quite sure what to do next, but he always knew where I was, and I sorta helped him.
The best I could from sitting in the audience!
By the end of the week, he was a pro! He was the youngest and smallest one on the stage, and everyone thought he was so cute!

We absolutely loved watching Cutler every night, and seeing him get better each time they performed.
I'm so glad he got to experience this!

and us

Thank you to all the family that came. Cutler loved having his own personal audience!!

*About half way through practice, Noah decided he didn't want to be in the play anymore. We were really sad about it, but it was his decision. This year just wasn't as good of an experience for us. Practices seemed to be really unorganized, and because Cutler was only in Oliver, and his part was so small, we didn't see the point in needing to be there when they weren't working on his part, or working on Scrooge. We probably don't look at it the right way, but that was our feeling on it. These last two years have been a lot of fun letting our boys experience being in a play. All the hard work and practice that goes along with it. We have decided that we will in fact take a few years off and just go to the Dicken's Festival one night, and enjoy it. Not have to rush through to get to the play, and then sit there all night, eating nasty food.

How fun cutler. You look like you had fun. Someday I will close by so I can come and see you do these kinds of things.

You were an AWESOME sneeky orphan Cutler! Great Job! PaPa wishes he could have seen you perform. Who knows...maybe you will want to play Oliver in a few years!
