I was waiting for some better pictures, but I don't think I'm going to get them anytime soon. So I'll just use what I have.
This year, my mom's family was in charge. For some reason, we always have to do something 'different'. So...no santa (not our choice); organized games; and the Nativity.
First on the agenda is always dinner. Yummy as always.
Next we did some minute to win it games. We had 4 places set up for each game. We wanted one person from each family to represent. It didn't work with all the games though because some families don't have as many little kids.
"Stack Attack"
The kids: Carson, Boston, McKinley, Koy
Carson won!!
The adults:
Colby, Dusty, Shanell, Jed
Colby won!!
"Separation Anxiety"
only the kids played this one
And this is where we had to mix families.
We used Skittles, so they had to sort a whole bag of them, by color, into a bowl.
One certain family...uncle ronnie...ended up just trying to hurry and eat all theirs to win.
It didn't work.
"Hanky Panky"
for the Carter siblings
Once again...uncle ronnie cheated. He just ripped the box open and pulled the whole stack out.
"Junk in the Trunk"
Also for the siblings
Every one of them claimed it didn't work. That the balls wouldn't come out.
But they weren't shakin it!!
So we got the little kids to show 'em how it's done!
and it worked perfectly!!
After the fun we changed modes and had all the great-grandkids under 12 do the Nativity.
Each person was in charge of their own costume, which made it even better I thought.
And they all did such a great job.
It was such a fun party.
I'm glad we did things a little different, now that it's over.
