This not-so-little boy turned 4 on me over the weekend!
I guess because of when his birthday is, it never seems to fail that someone isn't going to be here for the party. So every year, his birthday seems to last about 3 or 4 days. This year was no different.

The Party
We were pretty low key this year. Thankfully Shan's family was in town to help celebrate. They were our only guests (+ papa Kent for a minute), but that was just fine.
We swam at my parents' house
& barbeque'd (steaks & hotdogs, watermelon, & potato salad)
the 2 most important things at a summer birthday party!
some just chilled & shared popcorn
picked the flowers (sorry mom)
or just looked 'tutu' cute!

who knew a 4 year old would be so excited about underwear?!!
We were actually a little worried about getting him a bike. We have Noah's old one but he has never shown any interest in it. We sort of thought that maybe if he has his 'own' bike then he would like it.
It worked!
and the best part is he can already ride it and he has someone to ride with!

Who woulda thought?! I definitely wasn't planning on Wendy's, but it was his choice.

WOW...that is the birthday that goes on and on! So sad that we missed the BEST part! (and so SAD is that horrid picture of me! EE-Gads!) LOVE the spider man cake!!
