F.H.E.

We originally planned to go bowling, but after going to all 2 of the bowling allies in town and finding out it was league night we weren't sure what we were going to do. We've made it a goal to have family home evening every week this year, and so far so good! Noah loves it and reminds us every Sunday not to forget about it tomorrow, Cutler - not so much. But we still do it. Repetition, repetition! Anyway, since we couldn't go bowling I told Colby to drive over to the Rosenbruch Museum. We did and the boys loved it, even Colby! At the end I tried to get their picture by the bear in the kid's room, but Cutler was scared. We stopped in the gift shop and bought them each something. Cutler - bouncy ball(wahoo), Noah - toy animals.
And then tonight Noah was so cute. When Colby got home from work Noah told him he had something to show him. He had taken the animals we bought him and put a few in different spots in the house. Then he had some toy that he pretended to be the speaker/wand thing they give you to hear about the different animals and would ask Colby which number he wanted to listen to. Noah would type in the number and then move around the corner and talk into his hands and tell Colby about the animals he was looking at. I guess he really liked it since he's acting it out at home! (Thanks Christan for the great idea!!)

What Cutler has been UP to...

This is his newest favorite thing to do. As quietly as possible, he climbs up the bar stool and onto the counter. This is his cupboard with all his sippies, old bottles, and yes the binki's. And he knows it. So usually when I find him, he's just playing with the bottle nipples, and sippy stoppers, with binki in mouth...aaaggh! I'm seriously worried to death for the day I hear him fall off.

President Gordon B. Hinckley

January 27, 2008

As I'm sure all of you know, our sweet prophet returned to the Lord and his sweet Marjorie, tonight. I am so grateful that I was able to be here on this earth during his administration. He has accomplished so much during his time as prophet, and the world has benefitted tremendously from him. As I watched all of the broadcasts tonight I had tears in my eyes because of all of the wonderful things he had done, and for all of the lives he has touched, including mine.

I read an email once that said something about At judgement day, after passing through the veil and greeting others, being asked which prophet's time we were from and when answered Gordon B. Hinckley there came a silence over all the people, because he was such a special man. That we had been saved for this time because we were so valiant and faithful before coming to earth. I am so grateful that that will be me, that will be us! I love him so much and will miss listening to his great counsel and cute humor at each conference.

Pheasant Hunt

A great day hunting. We went up to a hunting ranch in enterprise. Noah especially loved it when we shot the chuckar that he is holding he held that the entire time that we were hunting. We ended up with 15 birds. He wanted it to be his pet bird when we got back and didn't want it to be cut up. All that came on our expedition were: My dad, brother Brett, his kids kaleb and rigby, Dave and Kent.

Cutler

Sorry Stef, I had to copy. We just thought this was funny. Check out Noah's results!!

I've crossed over...

To the dark side! I've actually been talking about doing this for a while now and I finally did it. I think Colby was more nervous than I was. Don't mind the fantastic photography skills, they are my 5 year olds!! Yes, Noah took the picture because well, I can't take one of myself, and Colby took some but they didn't turn out either. Anyway...I actually got this done last week but I had to give it some time to fade a bit and for some of the red to die down too! At first it was sort of dark for me, like I wasn't sure I would keep it for even a week. ( I sort of felt like Snow White = dark hair + pastey white skin!) Each day it fades a bit more and I actually don't mind it. What do ya think?

Swimming Babies!

So the other night during my blog stalking I saw this and I think it's amazing. Scary. But amazing.

The whole time I watched this I was trying to calmly breath for the little boy and I caught myself holding very still, like I was going to go under the water if I moved. I had Cutler watch it with me and he just stared and didn't move. I wish they did this here, but the closest one is in Vegas. I think it would be a good idea to get Cutler to learn how to do this. Especially since my parents put a pool in last year, and he's always on the go. This year I'm really going to have to watch him close. He loves the water!!

Way past due!!

Finally I got a picture to post of Noah on his 4-wheeler. He has gone riding a couple of times and his dad says he's a pro! Lucky for us (or him) he's actually very safe on it too. Ever since we, I mean Santa, decided to bring it to him I've been worried sick about how many times we are going to visit the E.R. this year. Hopefully none!! So far so good.
