4 months~

Weight: 11 lbs. (5th percentile)
Height: 23 inches (7th percentile)
*You smile a lot, and are laughing a lot too. Especially at your daddy. He just has to walk over to you and you smile.
*You hate the car. Not the carseat, the car. You are fine in your seat until I put you in the car, close the door, and start the car. After that you scream the.whole.time. Without fail.
*You are almost completely done nursing. I have mixed feelings about this, but I have no control over it either. For some reason I have lost my milk - I take my vitamins, I eat, I drink. Nothing helps. Dr. Nygaard even gave me a prescription for Reglan to help my body produce more. It helped but you can only take it for so long, and I've passed that time. I try to nurse when you wake up and when you go to bed. Pretty much I'm down to one or the other now. But at least you'll drink a bottle.
*You prefer your thumb over your binki. You'll even take the binki out to put your thumb in. Smarty. Just don't do it for the next 5 years, please.
*Today you almost rolled over - twice. Once from back to belly, and once from belly to back. Now we'll just see how long it takes you to really accomplish this new trick.
*Your eyes are starting to turn brown. I thought they were going to be blue, now I'm not so sure.
*You're the best sleeper. Still 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. - I'll feed you every 2 hours all day long just to have you keep this up!!

Another sleep-walker???

A couple of nights ago Cutler gave us the biggest scare of our lives. We were all asleep, he had been in our room once already, and a few hours later Noah came in. I was totally out and didn't hear anything. Noah was claiming that he heard doors closing. Colby was blaming Noah, saying that he closed the door when he was coming into our room. Noah said he didn't and he was not about to go back into his room. He wanted to sleep on our floor, but we're mean and don't allow kids to sleep in our room.
Colby went and checked the house for Noah, and while doing so wondered how Cutler was doing because Noah was being so noisy. He looked on his bed but couldn't see him. So he started looking around the room - (Cutler falls out of bed almost every night, who knows where he'll end up) - but he was nowhere. Colby came back into our room and made me get out of bed and almost to the door before he told me he couldn't find Cutler. I started freaking out. I ran into the boys' room and sure enough Cutler wasn't in bed.
**This has seriously always been one of my biggest fears - when I go to check on my child he/she won't be in their bed. I'm always so worried that someone is going to break into my house and kidnap one of them. Hence the reason I was a sucker and bought a house alarm from a door salesman.
Back to the story. I kept thinking about Colby & Noah's conversation and about doors opening. Maybe Cutler went outside, maybe he's sleepwalking, he could be anywhere. But the alarm would have went off if one of the outside doors would have opened. Then Colby asked me if I set the alarm. I got nervous thinking I didn't and that maybe someone really did come in our house. I looked to make sure it was set, and it was.
I started going to every room in the house, turning on all the lights, looking under and around everything. Where could this boy be? He wasn't anywhere. I was starting to panic when I noticed the bathroom door was closed. I specifically open it every night to let it air out because there's no window in it. I carefully opened the door, and there he was. Laying on the floor, asleep.
I picked him up and hugged him. It seriously felt like he had been lost. I took him back to bed, and that was our night. I think I layed in bed for about 20 minutes waiting for my heart to settle down.
This sleep-walking business is really getting to me. It creeps me out not knowing if the boys are awake or not. I hope this is just a phase and that they both grow out of it before too long.

Noah's Talent

Doug & Janet had a talent show in their ward on Friday and Janet had Noah & Rigby perform with her. Rigby played the harmonica, Janet played the guitar, and Noah sang. I have to say I am very proud of him. He was a little nervous, but he got up there and did a great job.

Trip to S.L.C.

We wanted to get out of town, and the main reason was Colby wanted to go to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving point. Here's a recap...
We left Friday afternoon. Drove straight to our Hotel. It wasn't too late and Cutler had fallen asleep in the car so we knew he for sure wasn't going to be ready to go to bed. Colby got a wild hair and decided to take them swimming. We all went down to the pool, and after 10 minutes of deciding to get in the freezing cold water, they only swam for about 5 minutes - literally. They decided the bath tub would be much more fun.
Saturday morning we woke up and drove to Thanksgiving Point and took the boys to the Dinosaur Museum. We all had a great time. It was very interesting even for Colby & I. Cutler is so into dinosaurs we thought he would definitely love it, and he did. Task accomplished.Once we were done there we drove down to the Tulip Festival. After walking up to the main building and getting ready to pay, we decided that paying nearly $30 for us all to walk around looking at flowers which were only 40% blossomed, wasn't a very good idea. Call us cheap, but if I'm going to pay to look at flowers, they better be some pretty amazing flowers. Even just walking up to the building we noticed they weren't really out. We were sad, since that's really what we went up there for, but it wasn't worth it to us.
Next we took a gander up to Gardner Village. We just can't go to S.L. without visiting G.V. There was hardly anyone there which made it easy to get around quickly. While I shopped the boys went for a ride.

We did some shopping at the mall and ate at the Cheesecake Factory - YUM!! Then took the kids to Discovery Gateway. Can I just ask, Why do we not have something like this in St. George???!! Cutler could have played in the balls for hours. It was so entertaining, the kids had a blast...

...and Colby did too!

We had a great weekend! It was so much fun spending time with just our little family.

Have a 'cool' weekend!

We are actually heading out of town for the weekend. I just thought I would wish everyone a great weekend with this picture. Aren't they the cutest 'cool dudes' you've ever seen?!!

Straight out of the 80's

I told Colby I already knew the header for this blog while were at the concert. We were invited to go to Foreigner with some of Colby's co-workers. It really was a lot of fun! Cold, I mean freezing, but fun. I had no idea they sang some of the songs that they did. I wish so bad my pictures would have turned out. I couldn't use the flash because then you couldn't see them, but when I don't use it I have to hold super still, and I can't do that. So no pictures.
Some of the people there were just so funny to watch. And almost everyone was in their 40's or older. But like I said, we had a blast watching the crazies, and listening to some great music.

Science fair

Noah and his dad decided to participate in the Science Fair at school this year. I had been throwing away all the papers that came home about it hoping for it to never even come up. One night Colby asked Noah if he wanted to do it and of course he said yes. They boiled cold water, cold water with salt, hot water, and hot water with salt to see which one would boil the fastest. The conclusion: Hot water boils the fastest. Only 35 seconds faster than cold water, and the salt didn't make any difference in either.

And the first place trophy goes to...

Now he gets to compete on the District level which is next month. Who ever knew this would go this far?

Happy Easter!

Easter Saturday
*It rained all morning on Saturday for the egg hunt. We went anyway, and didn't score much candy thanks to the big (10-11 yr. olds) kids.
*Noah had his last soccer games and scored 4 goals between the two games.
*Colby had to work - yippee!

Easter Sunday

*We always take pictures in front of Colby's flower garden before church in our new Easter clothes. Today it made us late for church and we barely got a seat. No joke!

*Noah's basket: army guys for the sand box, badmitten game, his new Easter tie, and "I Spy" for his leapster, which actually ended up only being the box. The game wasn't in it.

*Cutler's basket: his new Easter sweater/vest, dinosaurs for the sandbox, Pinnochio, and a bubble fan/gun thingy.

*Lexie's basket: A baby glow-worm, her new Easter dress, and cute pink/purple shoes.

And everyone got lots of candy. Easter just isn't Easter without candy!

We hope you all had a great Easter, and were able to reflect on Christ's life and what Easter means to you!

a Cutler funny

So this probably won't be very funny to most of you, but it totally cracked me up so I have to put it on here. Just to remember.

Cutler is really talking now. He's late, but whatever. We'll take it. The other day Cutler, Lexie & I had been in town and had gone to visit Colby at J.J's Whenever we go there Cutler has to have ice in a cone cup. On the way home he was blabbin' something about ice or ice cream(which is his favorite treat right now). I told him we weren't getting ice cream, we had to hurry home because Noah was going to beat us there. I'm sure because I gave him such a long explanation, he's like any kid and doesn't want to listen to the whole thing and said...:

hand cupped around his ear "WHAT mama?! I no hear you. Eets tooo weeeendee."(it's too windy - wherever that came from???)

I just thought it was so funny.
