Christmas in one post ;)

This may possibly be the.longest.post ever!

Looking through my pictures from this year, I am both sad and happy that I don't really have a lot from Christmas morning at our house. Sad, because I want to relive the moment. Happy, because I guess I was just enjoying living in the moment. Something that doesn't happen nearly as often as it should.

We woke the kids up, and waited for my parents & Chad to get here. We love having them come over first thing. It's fun for them to watch the kids, plus there's no one else around for them to see this year. We should have spent more time with them, but...having 2 other families doesn't allow much extra time for us :(  After things settled a bit, we ate breakfast. Yummy breakfast quiche, and muffin german pancakes. The kids each played with their stuff for a bit, then it was time to head to Danjanovich's.

But first...we decided if we didn't go to the cemetery now, we probably weren't going to make it there that day. So we took a detour to deliver our poinsettia.

 Noah's handprints @ 18 months. So teeny!!

Oh...the kids could hardly stand the wait! Once we got to Danjanovich's, I'm pretty sure it was a mad dash upstairs! And this time, I took lots of pictures.

Kent is the official 'Present Hander-Outer'

Dave & Colby got a joint present from Kent.

We did get to hang out for a little bit after all the presents were opened.
That's not usually the case for us.
The only thing was, our kids wanted to go home and play with EVERYTHING
they got for a while before having to leave it all again.
You can't blame them. And we don't :)

While the kids played, Colby put the final touches on the trifle. It was our turn, and I think he did a pretty dang good job!

While trying to somewhat organize our front room, and letting the kids play before going over to the Labrum's, Janet called to tell us Kristen's family was having car troubles. They were only to Nephi, but had to turn around, go back to Riverton, change vehicles, and then start all over. They wouldn't be here until almost 9:00. They were all stressed about it, but wanted to be here for Christmas. We told Janet it would be fine to just do it all the next night. But then it wouldn't be like Christmas. So, we still got together, an hour later, and Kristen's family showed up around 8:00. They really only missed dinner, and a few games. We stalled for them :)

Doesn't he look like Jake? From Jake & the Neverland Pirates!!

And the almost final picture of each persons gifts. We took these before the Labrum party.

Once again, we had a very busy, very Merry Christmas!

It was a great Christmas! What a fun day! One correction though... Noah's handprints are at 12 months old, not 18....and yes, sooo tiny. You really do have the busiest day! We are so thankful that you are able to spend some time with us on Christmas Day... our Christmas wouldn't be the same without ALL our family :) xo
