Tuckered out!

As I mentioned in the previous(next) post, Colby and I went out of town with no kids for a weekend. It was the Jimmy John's convention, this year in Vegas, and we left the kids with Colby's sister Kristen. Well, lucky for us (or them, or maybe the kids) it snowed like the day, and the whole week before so there was plenty of white stuff to entertain the boys!! And they took full advantage of it. The kids all had a blast sledding, building a snowman, playing in the bounce house, and who knows what else they got in over the weekend. Noah loved having 'big kid' time, Cutler loves Rob, so I'm sure wherever Rob went...so did Cutler. And I'm pretty sure Lexie was the 'baby' for all to play with take care of. Well, I'm not sure how good the kids were the whole time, or how well they slept for them, but I know they played hard.

Here's the proof.
10 minutes out of Cedar I turned around to see why it was so quiet in the back seat

So pretty

You know, ever since I found out I was having a girl I had been so worried about her poor hair. I mean, I do hair, I have my license, but that doesn't mean that I know how to make cute little hairstyles for cute little girls.

My sister's girls always have the most darling hair do's and I've always told her that when Lexie finally gets enough hair to do something with I would need her to teach me a few things.

So Colby and I went on our first no-kid (since Lexie) overnighter back in January and when I got home Makayla had pulled Lexie's hair up...and it was so cute. (of course, no picture) But it made her look so big so I didn't want to try it again. Then a couple of weeks later we went on another no-kid 2-night-overnighter and left them with Kristen and she pulled her hair up too. So now I've decided it's not so bad, and she looks adorable with something actually done to it.

On Sunday we actually took some time and curled it and made her 'Oh so pretty' as we say when we're in the process...she loves it. And she's not too bad to sit there and let me.

Oh how I love playing dress up with this little girl!!

She's walking!!

*the video is from my phone so it's horrible*

Maybe we better say she can walk. She still doesn't quite prefer it over crawling. We've been trying since about the first of the year and she wouldn't really have anything to do with it. Here and there she would take one or two steps, but that's it. On Sunday, Feb. 7th, we were at my parents watching the superbowl and she just started walking over to my mom. So now we try to get her to walk everywhere, and she will as long as we stay by her, or have her walk to us. The minute we leave her she sits down and crawls.

Maybe my stain remover bill will be a little cheaper now that I won't be spraying the heck out of all the knees on her pants!!

Yeah baby girl!! We're so proud of you!!

Unwanted photos

Have you ever gone in to download your pictures to the computer, and after it's all done find pictures like these...

That's how I know Cutler has had some fun with my camera!!
