Feeding the ducks

I wonder, as I'm sure you do,
how many posts I'll have about feeding the ducks ;)
Well, as many as I want I guess.
I'm going through this phase right now of thinking about the future,
and how when my kids are older, they'll wonder who their friends were when they were little,
and what they looked like, and what things they liked to do together.
So, I'll post whatever they do, with their friends.
Quite honestly, I love seeing old photos of me and my friends when we were just little kids.

This time, it's Lexie and Breckyn.
Lexie wanted to go feed the ducks, and we had bread that needed to be used.
She wanted to bring her cute little friend Breckyn

These two had the time of their lives,
squealing like little girls do because the ducks were fighting over the bread.
I kept laughing to myself at their noises.
And honestly, I was sad inside, because my little girl is growing up,
and I don't want her to.

Happy Birthday...

Cousin Smith!!

Day 4 - California Adventure/Disneyland

This morning we went straight to California Adventure, hoping to either get right on the Radiator Springs ride, or at least maybe get a fast pass for it.
Well...even as quick as we got in there, the fast passes were gone, and the wait was an hour.
So we waited.
And we just figured we would do the rider switch thing, since Lexie wasn't tall enough to ride.
Well, apparently they don't do the rider switch thing anymore. Sort of. You all wait in line, and they give you basically a fast pass for two people to come back through.
I was so mad that they let us wait all that time, and then wouldn't even let she and I just wait for Colby to get back.
I boycotted the ride for the rest of the day!
Lexie and I went over to the Little Mermaid ride [which, by the way, is a dang cute ride!!] to wait for everyone else to get done.

For lunch that day, all the girls had reservations with the Princesses.
The little girls were IN HEAVEN!!

After lunch we all sort of went our own ways and finished seeing whatever the kids wanted to again. We headed over to Disneyland, and let the kids pick out their souvenirs, then did some more rides. We ended up meeting back up with everyone and rode the Mark Twain together.
Before we got on the boat my parents said that they were stopped by some Disney people and asked if there was anything in the park they would like to do or see that they haven't already.
My parents couldn't think of anything!!
We were all so mad at them.
There are plenty of things we all came up with!

Dinner was at Tortilla Joe's...one of our favorites!! The kids love that they get a balloon figure each time, anything they want!!

Day 3 - Disneyland/California Adventure

Tuesday morning we had our character breakfast in Disneyland. Thankfully, by that morning, Lexie was ok with the characters. I was worried that she wouldn't stand by any of them.

Once again, Noah was 'too big' to have pictures with any of them! I'm sad that he has to be big and not want to be a part of that anymore.

As we were coming out of the restroom, Cinderella & Snow White came walking out. We pretty much had to run to keep up with them, but we were determined to meet them, and get some pictures!!

At first, Lexie wasn't quite sure what to think. She was probably star struck!! Poor Snow White had to do a little convincing to even get Lexie to look at her.

While we were meeting princesses, Chad and Noah had gone over to California Adventure to get us all fast passes for Radiator Springs. We killed a little bit of time, but when we left the park to meet them, we waited about 45 minutes before they came to give us our tickets to get in!
The fast passes were gone, so they went on a ride or two.

Oh well. We got busy going on rides and meeting the characters.

Ok, let's just talk about Cars Land
We LOVED Cars Land! [is an understatement]
We were walking around just kind of looking at the place...
[It's AMAZING!!]
when all of a sudden Lightning McQueen comes driving out onto the road.
It was so cool.
So naturally, we followed him! He pulled into the Cozy Cone Motel where Mater was parked.
We hurried up to the rope to get a quick photo, before he drove away.
I love that they really drive!!

This is Luigi's Flytime ride. The tires are just inflatables, the ground has air coming up through all the spots, and you move by leaning. It was hard, but so much fun!!

Those are the only pictures I took...all day! We stayed and watched the water show, which was super neat, and left the park without eating dinner. Thank goodness for Denny's! Lexie couldn't quite stay up and wait for her food. She was out before we even sat down.

Day 2 - Knott's Berry Farm

We love Knott's!
It's got big roller coasters for the adults, and little rides for the kids.
This year, the place was EMPTY!! Which was awesome for us!
We could walk on to every ride, and when we got done, we would stay on and ride again.
We loved it!

This was actually the day we learned a lot about each of the kids.
Lexie...is a thrill seeker! Loves going up and down, and fast!
Cutler is the same. He wasn't quite tall enough to go on some of the big rides, which put a huge damper on his day.
Noah...loves a nice, easy, smooth ride. That doesn't go up high and drop, or upside down.

This was Lexie's absolute favorite ride there. She still talks about it!
It's one that lifts you up, then drops you, and you go up and down a few times.
She actually rode it at least 5 times. And after the 2nd time was raising her hands through it!!

After this...Addi wasn't about to get on again. Which is why Lexie rode by herself the rest of the time :(

These two wanted their face painted. Noah opted out ;)
He's funny. He's all of a sudden 'too big' for certain things.

Can you see Noah's face? He was so nervous. I felt so bad for him!! He was literally almost in tears.

Near the end of the day, some of us went on a horse drawn carriage ride. We got to sit on the back...

And Cutler got to sit down by the drivers! Lucky!!

That day was Kadence's birthday!!
We left Knott's to get to our dinner reservation at The Rainforest Cafe.
After dinner we hung out in Downtown Disney, and let each of the kids buy/make a new toy.

First stop...
Ride Makerz
You pick out the car you want all the accessories, and then YOU build it.
All of it!
It's a dang cool store!!
The boys are waiting to be told when to go.

And...GO!!

While the boys were finishing up their cars, I took Lexie over to Build A Bear.

Once she was stuffed, we put in a bubble gum smelling heart, and sewed her up.
We took her over and picked out an outfit, then went upstairs to give her a name and print out her birth certificate.
"Harley" was her original name. She has now been named "Harley Minnie Mouse"
