Saying goodbye to our home for the past 8 years today for good. I brought my two babies home here. SO many memories, great friends and neighbors have been made here. I can only hope and pray that our new home will have amazing neighbors as well. Clearly, that's what I'll miss the most!! I have cried…no BAWLED every time I've driven away this week. Moving is SO scary!!

SC Whiptails

This season I was the official team scorekeeper. Which means I didn't get to take many pictures…at all! While I actually like keeping score, stress and all, I hate that looking back, I only have a handful of pictures from the whole season. Not sure how I feel about doing it next year. Maybe since I'll have a baby I'll be able to pass it on to someone else??

Here are a couple from one of our last tournaments. I have to admit I love baseball!! And I love that Noah loves playing it! And I love that he pitches sometimes. Although sometimes, coach puts him in to pitch at the most stressful time of the game, and I almost have an anxiety attack watching him.

Bowling at Dixie Bowl

Another one of our "It's too hot to do anything, even swim" days. Being 7 months pregnant doesn't help AT ALL! Thankfully, Colby's job is pretty cush, and he can kind of come and go as needed, or in this case, wants :)
Today we decided to take the kids to the good 'ol Dixie Bowl. Oldest bowling alley in town. But it's still the best. And we had the place all to ourselves!

Fishing

We tried to enjoy every minute we could with cousins while Stefanie and the kids were here. On one Sunday afternoon, we loaded up in the truck with all our fishing gear and headed to Enterprise to see if we could catch something. Sherie stopped and got KFC and we were set!
I'll let the pictures do the talking

Swimming

Living at grandma Miller's has its perks -

The little miss taught herself how to swim…without floaties!! Still scares me to death, and I don't dare take my eyes off her, but she can swim!

On another note,
there's not a lot to do besides swim.
Grandma's neighborhood isn't filled with kids like ours is. And the kids that are here, aren't very friendly. But, we borrowed gramma Sherie's lemonade stand and the kids have had fun hauling it down to the corner and making some $$! They've done pretty good for themselves.

With our record temperatures this summer, they don't last very long. Noah definitely can handle it a little longer than the two little ones, but even still, it's too hot to be outside!
Unless, of course, you're in the water!

Starlight Express

Gramma Sherie was able to get tickets for super cheap at Tuacahn to see Starlight Express through work. With Stefanie and the kids here, it gave us something to do ;) I had never even heard of the show, so it was as big of a surprise to me as it was the kids. But they seemed to love it! It definitely was a kid show!

Library Cards

I'm trying to find things for the kids to do to keep them busy this summer, without me doing much entertaining.
Note to self: don't get pregnant during the months of Oct, Nov, or Dec!
One of the first things we did was go to the Library and get each of the kids their own library card. I hope I can be good at taking them to get new books at least once a week. The younger two really do like to read.

Moving

Back in January or February I got a message from a friend. She said her husband was being transferred to St. George, and wondered where they should look for a home, by a good school, church, and a good area. I thought about it for a little while, wondering if I dared say anything about our house, but then I did. Colby and I had toyed with the idea of renting our house out for a while, if we knew we had good renters, since we can't sell it right now. I replied back to her: Well, if it's something you're serious about, our home is for rent. We have outgrown it, and are looking into what our options are. We only want to rent to someone we trust and holy cow this is like a huge blessing in disguise!
She told me they would be down in a few weeks to look at homes and would love to come by and see ours.

Jump ahead to now. They have agreed to rent our home. We don't really have a plan, other than to move into my parents house, and look for a lot to build on or a home to buy. We really want to stay on this side of town, and if there were any decent lots available right here by where we are, we would go there. But there aren't. We are so sad to leave some of our neighbors, others, I say good rid dens.

But in all honesty, this is our home. We bought it a year after we were married. I brought 2 babies home here, and we have SO many memories behind these walls.

We've kind of made a slow move, taking the week to get completely out, and get it cleaned, but today I drove away for the last time, with lots of tears. Lots of tears!!

Clark Planetarium

After a long weekend of baseball, we headed north to party with Katie for her graduation. The party wasn't until later Sunday night, so we found some things to do to entertain kids during the day.
Clark Planetarium was one of the stops. The kids thought this place was pretty neat!

After the planetarium we decided to take the kids over to Temple square. We'd never taken them before, and since it was Sunday, we thought it was a good way to put a little bit of religion in our day ;)
We went to the conference center and did a little tour. They took us up to the roof and it was SO blasted hot I couldn't wait to get back inside.
It was pretty cool being up there, but come on, 6 months pregnant and record temperatures just don't mix well!
